TOWNSHIP MANAGER
Mary G. Justh
Appointed annually, the Secretary/Treasurer is responsible for keeping all records and accounts for the Township.  The Secretary/Treasurer prepares the annual Budget which is then reviewed and adopted by the Supervisors.
Hours: 8am to 4 pm,
Monday through Friday

ZONING OFFICER
Mark D. Carpenter
Responsible for enforcing the provisions of the Township Zoning Ordinance, the Zoning Officer issues permits and conducts site inspections to assure compliance. PLANNING COMMISSION
Comprised of seven members appointed to staggered four year terms, the Planning Commission reviews and comments on subdivision and land development plans, rezoning and special exception requests.
Meetings: 4th Monday at 7pm with a workshop on the 2nd Monday at 7pm.

ZONING HEARING BOARD
Made up of five regular and three alternate members appointed to staggered five year terms, the Zoning Hearing Board conducts hearings on requests for variances and special exceptions to the Township Zoning Ordinance.
Zoning Hearings are scheduled as necessary, usually on the second Wednesday of each month, beginning at 7pm at the Township Building.

MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY

Managed by a five member Board appointed by the Board of Supervisors, the authority is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the municipal water and sewer systems.
Meetings: 3rd Thursday at 7pm

POLICE DEPARTMENT

With nine fulltime and two part-time officers, the Department provides the Township with around-the-clock service which includes a K-9 unit, DUI enforcement, local public safety programs, and vacation home watch.

FIRE/EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

The township is served by four fire companies based in neighboring communities: New Kingstown Fire Company, Union Fire Company, North Middleton Fire Company, and Shermansdale Fire Company.  The ambulance and rescue companies serving the township are: Carlisle Community Ambulance, Silver Spring Ambulance and Rescue, and Cumberland-Goodwill Squad.
HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT

Road Supervisor
Operating with three fulltime as well as seasonal part-time employees, the Highway Department is responsible for the construction and maintenance of Township roads, storm sewers, and the Recreation Park.

RECREATION DIRECTOR
Denise L. Jumper
With guidance from the Recreation Advisory Board, the Recreation Director is responsible for the design and implementation of recreational programs for the community, including a summer playground program, arts and crafts workshops, and holiday or seasonal special events.
Hours: 8am to 4pm at the Township Office.

RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD

Created in 1990 to help meet the Township's need for recreational facilities, the Rec. Board has seven members appointed by the Supervisors to four year terms.  The Board works with the Recreation Specialist in developing and implementing programs and events.
Meetings: 2nd Tuesday of every month at 7pm.





TAX COLLECTOR

Responsible for the collection of local and county taxes (sent in early March) and school taxes (sent in early July), the Tax Collector accepts payments by mail or at her home at: 152 Fieldstone Drive,

TAX ASSESSOR
Timothy Davis
Elected to a four year term, the Assessor is responsible for updating the list of residents for personal taxes, both local/county and school.

Middlesex Township Board of Supervisors

Steven L. Larson

The Board's three members are elected to staggered six-year terms.  Vested with the executive and legislative power of the government, they also make appointments to the various Boards and Commissions and are responsible for the annual Budget.  Meetings:  The Board of Supervisors meetings are the first Wednesday of every month at 7pm.
Workshop meetings are the last Fridays of every month at 7:30am.

All meetings are held at the Municipal Building, 350 N. Middlesex Road, unless otherwise noted.
